Welcome to the Waimea Coffee Company. Our business began in Kamuela, Hawaii (Waimea) town on the Big Island in 1990. Our cafe is well known for brewing up some of the best coffee to be found anywhere. We specialize in selecting, roasting and distributing world-wide the best Hawai’ian and single origin coffees available. From the famed Big Island growing regions of Kona, Hamakua, and Puna, to the neighboring islands of Molokai’i, Kaui, and Maui, from Indonesia, South America, Africa, and Mexico, we provide only the finest orgainc and naturally grown gourmet coffees from around the world.
As described in Bon Appetit’s March 1997 article: “The Waimea Coffee Company has a selection of Kona coffees, each with it’s own character but distinctive, almost wine-like flavor.” Our premium organic Kona coffee selection from these family worked farms, also includes the special organic Kona Peaberry and the prized organic Aged Peaberry, each roasted to perfection.
