Hawaiian Coffee

Best known for its famous Kona Coffee, Hawai'i is the only state in America to produce world renowned coffee beans. From the Kona, Hamakua, and Puna growing regions of the Big Island of Hawai'i , to the neighboring islands of Mau'i, Kau'i, and Moloka'i, here are some great island coffee classics for you to enjoy. Our Hawai'ian coffees are naturally grown without the use of artificial fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides. Earth friendly, our naturally raised coffees are naturally sweet and the flavors are lively, producing a unique cup of coffee. All of our Hawai'ian grown beans are hand-picked, hand sorted, and hand dried and roasted.

Naturally Grown Kona Coffee

Although not certified as organic farms, our estate grown Kona coffees are grown in the same manner without the use of artificial fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides. Earth friendly, our naturally raised Kona coffees are naturally sweet and the flavors are lively, producing a unique cup of coffee. All of our naturally grown Kona beans are hand-picked, hand sorted, and hand dried and roasted.

Organic Coffee

We are pleased to offer a distinctive line of certified organic coffees. Why Organic? Organic means the coffee is grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers allowing the natural flavors of the environment to come through in the bean. Nothing needs to be added to bring out these natural flavors...they are just there! The taste of organically grown coffees is naturally sweet and the flavors are lively, producing a unique cup of coffee. Also, Organic growing techniques are easier on the environment and keep harsh chemicals out of the soil and groundwater Earth friendly. Our organic coffees are shade grown, helping to preserve vital wildlife habitat and protecting endangered species of birds and animals.

Organic Kona Coffee

Our 100% pure organically Grown Kona coffee comes from small estates situated in the Kona district of Hawaii. These pesticide free beans are hand picked only when ripe, sun dried and then roasted to the desire of the individual farmer. Our selection of roasted organic Kona coffee includes a Medium roast, a Vienna (medium-dark) roast and a Dark roast. Why Organic? Single Origin Coffee

Single origin coffees come from a specific coffee growing region and are named for their country of origin. We roast most of our single origin coffees to their "peak" which maximizes the coffee's inherent taste without adding flavor from the roast. Coffees grown in different parts of the world vary in flavor due to different soil and climate conditions, as well as different harvesting methods. In addition, weather variance can cause coffees from the same part of the world to taste slightly different from crop to crop. We select and hand roast only the best beans available from around the world.

Espresso and Blends

Blends are a mixture of two or more single-origin coffees, sometime at different roast levels. Blends are used to create a specific taste by utilizing the best qualities of different coffees. Exceptional balance and depth of flavor characterize Waimea Coffee Company blends. We achieve this by designing blends using top quality single-origin and Hawai'ian coffees. Harmony and balance are created by building up specific taste attributes such as acidity (brightness) or flavor to perfect levels. Many of our best selling blends contain dark-roasted coffees, developing depth without bitterness.
